Types of Solutions NES Offers:

Professional Employer Organization

(PEO)

A PEO provides a service which includes WC coverage on the risks workforce. PEO is ideal for Staffing entities. The PEO becomes the sole statutory employer of record for the workforce and becomes solely obligated to pay payroll, payroll taxes, and to manage and pay WC claims that occur...for employee benefits purposes, the relationship is considered co-employment, and as such the risk can retain or secure all/some employee benefits outside of the PEO and/or use all/some of the PEO's benefits. Risks need to be underwritten by both the PEO and their WC carrier which makes approval time a bit longer and more difficult to obtain in some cases than with an EOR.  The risks name shows on COIs in the insured box.  Upfront $ required is relatively low and a PEO offer can usually be provided in 1-3 weeks.

Employer of Record

(EOR)

An EOR provides a service which includes WC coverage on the risks workforce. EOR is ideal for Staffing entities. EOR becomes the sole statutory employer of record for the workforce and becomes solely obligated to pay payroll, payroll taxes, and to manage WC claims that occur. Risks need only be underwritten in-house by the EOR to secure WC coverage for the workforce making it much easier and faster to obtain bindable quotes. The risks name shows on COIs in the description box. Upfront $ required is low and an EOR offer can be provided in a week or less.

Administrative Service Organization

(ASO)

For larger risks with $1M or more in premium. ASO is ideal for Staffing entities. An ASO is a program which allows the risk to remain the employer of record, pay taxes under the risks Fed/State tax #s, and be the named insured on a WC policy. The risk needs to be underwritten for its own policy by both the ASO and the WC carrier which makes approvals more time consuming and difficult to obtain than with an EOR or a PEO. The risks name appears on COIs in the insured box as the insured party. Upfront $ required is in the medium to high range and an ASO program usually takes 2-4 weeks.
